Gabi White

Communications Coordinator

Originally from New Jersey, Gabi White graduated in 2022 from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Biology, with a certificate in Wildlife Management and an emphasis in Ornithology, and a BA in Italian. She has pursued a career with animals since she was a very young girl rescuing baby birds and bunnies in the backyard.

Gabi spent the majority of her professional life pursuing exotic animal care, working in zoos and wildlife rehabs, but from her first experience in a shelter her whole path changed. Animal welfare inspires her every day to connect with the community, help animals in need, and better the world for the voiceless.

Gabi joined the Second Chance team in the late summer of 2024 as an Animal Care Specialist, and soon rose to be the Animal Care Lead. After a year, she offered to take on the TikTok account and discovered a new way to do what she loves. Social media has given her the opportunity to grow and learn, and she is now beyond excited to begin a new journey with Second Chance.

On days off, you’ll always catch Gabi with her partner and her two dogs and cat: Sage, Echo, and Kaia (all of whom are Second Chance alumni!). She loves to write, be near moving water, and travel.
