Camille Dick

Foster Coordinator

Camille is a proud native of Montrose County, Colorado, with deep family roots in both Western Slope ranching and rural Texas. Aside from a five-year stint in Texas, she’s spent her life surrounded by the landscapes and animals she loves in western Colorado. Her passion for animals began early—thanks to her first best friend, a black lab named Annie—and has shaped her life ever since.

Since starting work at 16, Camille has dedicated her entire career to animal care. In addition to her role at SCHS, she has worked for the Montrose County Animal Shelter and two board-and-train facilities. One of her proudest achievements is training her yellow lab, Charlie, to be a service dog during a time when she needed her most.

A devoted rescuer, Camille currently shares her home with four pets—three dogs and a kitten, several of whom are rescues from SCHS. Helping animals find safe and loving homes, whether temporary or forever, is what she loves most about her work.

Outside of animal care, Camille enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. A former varsity softball player, she also loves paddle boarding, camping, hunting with her family, and spending time laughing and playing games with friends. She’s also a sought-after pet and house sitter for families throughout the area.
